Timber West ‘Mill’ Construction was how our company began. Incorporated in 1998 in Prince George, B.C. with the three principal shareholders, they together had over 65 years of combined experience in the fabricating, millwrighting, and welding trades. In those early days, the company’s focus was mainly on the fabrication of structural steel, transfer decks, conveyors, stairs and handrails, and catwalks, as well as supplying the supervisors and skilled labour to complete the structural and mechanical installations. The main focus at that time was on the forestry and sawmill industries.
Many internal and external transformations occurred during the first two decades of Timber West Mill’s life. There was some restructuring done within the group of shareholders while the company began to explore the opportunities in the mining, energy, and pellet industries. After discovering our talent for piping projects, TW Industrial Group started to realize the full potential of our company and this contributed to the expansion of our customer base.
In 2015 we dropped the ‘Mill’ from our name and began the journey towards becoming a leading steel fabrication and structural/mechanical installation company. In 2016, a longtime employee bought out the remaining founder and the growth of the company soared.
In the summer of 2017, we took on our largest out-of-province project – the installation of a multimillion-dollar pellet plant in Entwistle, Alberta, for Pinnacle Renewable Energy. The project included all concrete, structural, mechanical and piping installation. We finished in the fall of 2018.
In 2019, we became an authorized Varco Pruden builder, one of North America’s largest pre-engineered metal buildings (PEM) suppliers. This relationship gives us the ability to design, supply, and install buildings at highly competitive pricing.
In 2021 our name change evolved again to TW Industrial Group Ltd to represent our growth into the expanded field and shop services we now provide. Although our roots were in forestry and timber, it was time for us to better represent the services we are able to provide. And so, TW Industrial Group was born.
In the past 20 years, TW Industrial Group Ltd has accomplished many great things, and we have many exciting plans for our future. Enhancing our resources and building trust with our clients is at the top of our list. We continue to work diligently towards our goals while staying true to our vision statement.
Because that’s who we are.
